. . . the midst of an extraordinarily beautiful weekend -- brunch and a little shopping, pretty heels and chocolate molten lava cakes and best of all, impossibly romantic late-night conversations {fewer things are lovelier than weekends}
hope it's beautiful where you are,
xo

{inspiration: weekend brunch}
. . . whether Paris or New York, or a perfectly leisurely morning at home, one of the best things about weekends is late morning brunches -- strawberries and scones, chandeliers and carrera, mimosas and pretty gold-rimmed tea cups, and most of all, freshly baked and buttery croissants . . .
{p.s.} weekend wishes & a perfectly wonderful collection of links to follow -- check back if you like xo

{two lovely things: indoor swings}
{two lovely things}: whether bright and airy, crisp white and romantic florals, or moody and atmospheric, diffused and industrial, would be lovely, lovely to dream away the days on a wonderfully whimiscal indoor swing . . .
{p.s.} from before & more {two lovely things}

The Land Of the Runaways - Inspiration Friday
Happy Inspiration Friday!
Welcome my Friends to the Land of the Runaways!
So a few years ago i kept having these dreams that all took place in the Forest of the Runaways.
haha no joke, it only existed in my dreamworld,
and the Runaway Forest was full of rag tag kids that either didn't have a family
or had runaway from home and now lived in this Kids town they built in the forest.
In my dream i would always come visit them, and lead them on random adventures.
So today's set of images are inspired by the Runaway's Forest.
It's kinda uncanny how much the images look like that world!
so Fun! I'm hopping to start writing short stories from my dream world. ;)
The collection of images are from Shorpy, Lula Magazine, and from my friends Knightcat & Alice.
P.S. I Added Buttons to the right to "Inside My Brain" & "The Dream Walking Society" :)

CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK
a day that makes me think about what I can
do to help save our planet.
So NATURAL-Y I thought of one of my favorite things-
CHIPPED AND RECYCLED...ANYTHING!!
It makes me crazy to see perfectly good things get thrown out,
only to end up in a landfill.
I don't understand how we think we can continue
to put things in the ground that will never disintegrate
or at least not in our lifetime.
We have one world and if we continue on this path,
it will only get smaller and smaller.
Who wants to live on a toxic waste dump?
Don't get me started or I'll end up on my soapbox on this topic.
It really does make me crazy.
I grew up with two parents who survived the Depression.
They have always been very appreciative for whatever they had
and held onto things until they had absolutely no more use...
and then some.
They were savers and taught me to do the same.
I know it makes my husband crazy, he is not.
His motto used to be,
"Get rid of it, if you need one again a year from now, get another one.
I don't want to look at all this junk"
Ouch! JUNK?? I think not!
One man's trash is another one's treasure
Before he met me, all of this precious, shabby junk
would have been in his trash.
Now, he is growing (he's not there all the way yet)
to have an appreciation for the finer things in life...
ALL THIS GREAT CHIPPY "JUNK"
Be still my SHABBY heart,
NONE of these things belong in a dumpster!
I am a proud recycle-er.
So today, being Earth Day,
I hope I can inspire you to be a recycle-er too!!
