Sleep and sleep...
I am on a tired saturday.The humid is killing me cause its very hot!People outside must be crazy cause the sun is really burning!I need to go to the gym but I'm dead tired and its very hot and I'm at home...I have late news.I'm on Susie's Style Bubble representing Istanbul as a Turkish fashion blog in her "worldwide blog list".Thank you for adding me Susie!:)I love to check out different countries' fashion blogs.
And RIP Michael jackson...He was one of my fashion icons cause he's been a real trendsetter of all times.He was the real king of POP.Life is so short isn't it? We are here today and we are gone tomorrow...Fashion is like that either...its very "in" today and then its "out" tomorrow.I guess I'm on a summer bummer.I love summers but I'm not on vacation yet and working on summer days sucks!I need a vacation and it may be on late july...june is almost over.wow!I'm not hunting this weekend but next weekend I'll haul haul...its sale everywhere.I love weekends.I gotta sleep...

Michael Jackson Tribute
Well... It's a sad day,
As i'm sure you all heard the great Michael Jackson has Died today.
A man that from the youngest age has captivated the hearts and minds of many generations.
He was a great performer, and a great singer, and a great artist...
I did this painting tonight as a tribute to a great man.

for me this week has been a tornado.
Blowing me up and down and side to side.
i'm been chipping away on a editorial that i think should turn out super interesting.
i'm really experimenting on the layering process.
i think it will turn out looking pretty unique.
Did this drawing of Bjork last night before i went to bed.
i couldn't help but draw her after seeing that Concert Movie the other night.

A Summer Invitation...the Open Road

Almost 65 years ago to the day, 2 girls set off on a bicycle journey which wound its way through the eastern United States and lasted the whole summer long. The girls, Doris Roy and Thelma Popp went on this amazing journey riding a single speed and a two-speed while carrying ALL they needed to camp out with along the way. And their riding attire?... the lovely dresses you see them pictured in! This is so inspiring for any lovelies out there hesitant to ride a bicycle wearing a dress. Even more so, if one is also questioning the need for a geared up special bicycle to hit the road with, then fear not. What this does beg for is a free spirit, willingness to allow yourself to develop your own strength and stamina (as may very well be required) to take on the challenge of the roads you decide to ride. Oh, that and the patience to take it slowly.
This has helped to bolster up my courage to seek out my own leisurely paced bicycle tour, self directed and sweetly nostalgic in light of just what is possible. Thanks Doris and Thelma for the inspiration!

Create Balmain Jeans
I just read how to DIY Balmain inspired jeans.I see that lots of people are not over Balmain distressed jeans yet.I love the Balmain look that we are all hooked up cause Christophe Decarnin is so talented.In Balmain's spring '09 runway he sent models in jeans in various states of disrepair to the runway.How to achieve the distressed jean look?Here's a tip I've read...
Step 1: Bunch areas on old black jeans and pour a bit of Clorox on each.When you're happy with the color rinse out the bleach.
Step 2: Sand the knees and the fronts of the thighs with heavy grit paper.
Step 3: Slice the areas you want ripped and pick apart the fibers in the weave.
Step 4: Machine wash and dry your version -- twice.That distresses clothes even more..

She's wearing the yoga type or dance wear style outfit. So I had to ask; "Do you do yoga as well as bicycle?" and "YES!" was her answer. Her open, graceful ways had me admiring how eternally beautiful, youthful and forever stylish she was on this sunny summer day.
style notes: yoga wear/ dance wear while still in the spandexy, lycra active-wear clothing category are such a vast improvement over typical cycle wear!
