{on the market: manhattan townhouse}

. . . shall always adore katie lee's ultra-chic four-story west village townhouse, famously decorated by nate berkus a million years ago, in 2006; first seen in domino magazine and still an all-time favourite, the 4000 sq ft home, which includes 3/4 bedrooms, 4 baths, 4 fireplaces, an elevator, a landscaped garden, matchbooked marble detailing, and antiqued gold-leafing, is now on the market, and it is always interesting to compare how the real estate listing shots, often taken wide angles, differ from the rich, more detailed shots published in magazines; and so, a glimpse . . .

{room inspiration: always de gournay}

. . . perhaps white linen for the cushions on the settee and balloon shades in place of the roman blinds above, but all in all, adore everything about this stunning and summery nate berkus designed room featured in elle decor -- the utterly romantic and beautifully draped campaign bed, the crisp white linens and perfectly pretty floral glass sputnik chandelier, and most of all, the always enchanting de gournay wallpaper . . .

{happy monday + nate berkus}

. . . had been hoping to work the room nate berkus designed for katie lee {below}, into a an upcoming charming mix, as the second-floor den has been a long-time favourite, when happened upon a happy collective of nearly one hundred bloggers who also adore the elegance and sophistication of nate's work, always a beguiling mix of beautiful things: antique french jade glass lamps, luxurious tones and textures, gilded headboards and monogrammed linens . . . and so, a few favourite rooms to begin the week after a wonderful weekend . . .

happy monday! hope it's off to a perfect start,
xo

{two lovely things: mirrors + chandeliers}

{two lovely things:} a stunning vintage baguès chandelier is the perfect complement to a mirror-top brass cocktail table, leafy branches and lucite in a sun-drenched white-on-white bedroom, and a wonderfully ornate venetian-style mirror is perfectly paired with carrera . . . U9AP3FNZBP25

{happy weekend + monogrammed linens}

Hope you find some time to relax and lie about this weekend . . . it's getting colder and after all the Christmas shopping is complete, cozy and indoors by candlelight or the fire, or wrapped up with your favourite person in monogrammed linens is the best place to be . . .

Have a beautiful, beautiful weekend, everyone!
