Pretty Lil' Abstracts
It's official. I REALLY want to learn how to paint abstracts. I have always wanted to paint as a 'release' and it seems my uber busy schedule is making that desire stronger (as if I have time to sit down anymore!!). Who knows, maybe I could create some beauties like these:
Aren't these to-DIE-for? I have been searching online for classes and even visited my local art supply store to search for instruction, but **sigh...** I live in Utah. No one here appreciates modern art as they should. Anyone know where I could turn for some Abstract Art 101??

{style inspiration: perfect platforms}
. . . a new pair of white strappy summer wedges earlier last week, for traipsing about town and blossom-laden walks with the dog, the third pair of wedges already this spring, and summer has yet to begin, and yet, after happening across these utterly charming prada platforms {above}, perfectly paired with pressed trousers turned in an ultra-chic french cuff in the most enchanting shade of august sunrise, am becoming quite smitten with platforms and their teetering heights and already imagine them with romantically flirty & lacy summer dresses for quiet lunch dates on cobbled terraces surrounded by spring flower boxes of pussy willows and daffodils . . .

Paris Street Bicycle - Just Right for Today
Beautiful days in May in Paris --riding around on a bicycle!
This photo comes from one of my favorite street photographers, Fred at EasyFashion. I've shared his photos before here.
Blogger has been down for the better part of three days, so today when I got a chance to finally put up a blog post once more, I decided to go with this fresh Paris street photo.
I will do more Tweed, I promise.

I'M GOING ON A PICNIC
It's time to pack the car and a picnic basket
and head out his weekend for a wonderful picnic now that
the weather has gotten warm
A little wine and cheese
some pretty dishes
flowers and a great blanket
are the perfect recipe for an indulgent picnic
Whether you are at the park
or are in the city
take some time to relax
with a good book
some great food
and someone you love
Just remember, every picnic has a few ants...
This one is no exception!
