One Week Mark
Well my friends... i'm at the one week mark in Hawaii.
Haven't had too much time to draw the last two days...
but on another note had a little "hiking accident"....
might have broken my ankle and tailbone. hahah oopps.
Made me a little less mobile, but i'm trying to keep up.
Think i might go to the doctor today.
Last night, we had Ryan's bachelor party,
which was a fun long night!
Today is the wedding rehearsal,
so it should be a fun busy day!
i hope all you are doing great!

{lovely lucite}
Absentmindedly flipping through past issues of domino awhile ago and came across a favourite vignette {above} in the first ever issue, and was reminded of how beautiful lucite can look when paired with the perfect pieces and accessories . . .

Lovely Day...Bicycle to Bridge.... Girl Friend Talk
Quiet place to meet and talk and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. I happened upon these two girls along the path I take to get to the ocean cliff.
I liked how the shoes came off and into the stream she dangled her toes, pretty lacey stockings and all. Couldn't help but notice...
the Obama spokescard! I wonder what the other spokescard is? ...

Vogue 1962
Hey friends, here it is.
This is the 1962 Vogue Cover i drew while on the plane over here.
What do you think? Is it Audrey Hepburn?
My gut tells me it is, but not sure.
How have you all been?
It's been fun out here.
Just was walking on the beach over to Pipeline today and it began to rain on us.
It's incredible out here.
Don't think i could live out here cause i don't think i would get any work done. haha
Well, i hope you all are doing good and hope you like the cover. i can't wait to scan it when i get home.
This is just a snap shot of it. :)

last day at the office
today I feel down...Or I feel relished.Or I feel whatever!..Today was my last day at the place I work I am starting somewhere new in the same company tomorrow.I spent my 1 year and 15 days there and lived so many things.I will miss the place I used to work,I will miss my desk and my phone and I'm going to miss the old Burcu working there so hard.Tomorrow is the first new day of my new life. This is kind of a stress the fact that I dont know where really I will work and the people there. Please give me some support and I will get over it.
Good luck for tomorrow Burcu.
Good luck for tomorrow Burcu.

Fashionably late and while some may have thought this moment might never arrive as the sudden influx of e-mail would indicate, completely delighted to announce the winner of the Catbird alphabet earrings is . . . Julia! ** Congratulations, Julia! **

{as in a fairytale}
Ever since coming across the graceful gilt swan faucet in a Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton ad campaign {above}, have been rather fascinated with these brilliantly ornate fixtures that have an almost magical quality, as if taken from the pages of a fairytale . . .

Perez Hilton
Hello friends!
Sorry to miss another night of posts. i think i finally have this whole internet thing worked out.
Did a long night of Karaoke last night!
I definitely sang Peter Pan's "I Don't Want to Grow Up"! haha
And then, i wake up this morning to see Mr. Perez Hilton had posted my portrait i did for him for Bloglovin.
And then i thought i would post the picture as part of the Blogger Portrait Series considering it is a blogger Portrait.
Thank you so much, Perez! :)
There will be more tonight!
I drew a Vogue cover from 1962 on the plane ride over here, not sure if it's Audrey Hepburn on it or not,
but it sure looks just like her!
Well anyways friends, 5 day count down till the wedding. i'm pretty excited.
The wedding is going to be on the beach in Alice's backyard.
Think we are going to be build a gazebo for the ceremony today.
Hope you all are doing great!
ciao :)
EDIT: Just added images in my Image Diary

The Siren Day 4 Hawaii
Hello i'm back!
Lost the internet for another night, but i'm back.
Sitting in Miss Alice's house right on the water on the North Shore; it's amazing!
This is the drawing i did on the plane of a siren.
She is just drifting out to the boy who crashed up ahead.
Oh thanks for the great name suggestions!
i love all the names, still formulating the exact name.
Oh and also, should be posting some new pictures on the Image Diary soon enough!
Hope you all are doing great!
