{two lovely things: eames molded plywood chairs}

{two lovely things:} around the dining table or beneath a gallery wall, there is just something about the perfectly graceful lines of eames chairs -- still -- that adds a beautiful elegance to any room and no matter how many times you may come across them, they always remain classic and utterly timeless . . .

{p.s.} and while you may have seen these images before, they are here as a glimpse of very, very exciting things to come xo

{lovely lucite}

Absentmindedly flipping through past issues of domino awhile ago and came across a favourite vignette {above} in the first ever issue, and was reminded of how beautiful lucite can look when paired with the perfect pieces and accessories . . .

{a lucite console is the perfect complement to a large antique French mirror and weathered floorboards}

{lucite office furniture in a february 2005 versace ad campaign featuring madonna and shot by mario testino; aside: also included, the eames soft pad aluminum group chair}

{lucite bases make these large mirrored coffee and end tables appear as if they are floating . . .}

{colour inspiration: daffodil silk}

Sometimes all it takes to bring a new, ultra-chic energy into a room is a few sun-drenched accessories in shades of canary and daffodil . . .

Have much more fun at work {above} with a Ray and Charles Eames Soft Pad Chair, comfortably beautiful in happy yellow leather.

A vibrant painting {this one is by Andrew Spence}, an Eero Aarnio Cognac chair, and cushions from Marimekko bring a sense of play to a modern, all-white bedroom.

Drift off with elegantly blissful dreams in a Parisienne bed upholstered in daffodil silk. {Ochre bedside lamp.}
