{hope you had a beautiful weekend + links}

late-sunday-links-hed

. . . last week's links fell away to the excitement and utter romance of the royal wedding, and this week's nearly fell away to late dinner dates and charming company; saturday afternoon at the market and evenings of sparkling lemon spritzers and unbearably exciting plans; long sunday afternoon walks in impossible sunshine and the stunningly heady scent of hyacinths . . .

hope you had a lovely weekend & that it was beautiful where you are, roséline xo

{décor inspiration: a kiss of colour}

hb-vingnette

. . . monday, monday, and utterly inspired by this beautiful entryway -- the enchanting framed wallpaper fragment and antique french chest, the warm wood panelled walls and rich chevron floors . . . and not certain if it is because it is february or the approach of valentine's day, but lately, have been dreaming of painting the walls the palest shade of pink . . .

. . . of course, the next best thing would be glimpses of colour set against pale and perfectly pretty neutrals . . .

. . . hello again! . . . after a luxuriously relaxing weekend, it's a beautiful new week, and you may have remembered, a million years ago, shortly before the holidays, there was a lovely give-away for a glittering and impossibly elegant crystal necklace, and in the flurry of fairy lights and falling snow, hadn't a chance to find out who the winner is until now . . . and so, utterly delighted to announce that the winner is . . . rachel in rome, italy . . .

*** congratulations, rachel! ***

a warm thank you to everyone who entered & hope your week is off to a perfect start, xo

{home inspiration: a paris apartment}

. . . oftentimes, on evening walks, love to stop by the bookstore for a few glossy magazines, always in search of inspiration, but has been far too long since there was a space that overwhelmed with loveliness like this parisian apartment -- the glimpses of perfectly ornate balconies and streams of soft, gauzy light, the yards upon yards of shimmery taupe drapery and beautifully time-worn chevron floors, and best of all, in paris . . .

. . . hello again! . . . had mentioned much, much earlier there would be fun news today . . . and so, a little fashionably late, {and those on twitter may have already heard}, but in case you haven't . . . as you know, have loved lonny magazine since the premiere issue over two years ago, but absolutely adore the current issue most of all, for it contains the most beautiful feature . . .

{at this moment: new & exciting things}

haute-design

ladolcevita

. . . a crisp tuesday in mid-november and one of those days with a billion & one things on the to-do lists, half answered press interview questions and missed deadlines -- but also -- upcoming and impossibly exciting things: fantastic new features, including a stylish new series and a new contributor, an inspiring new project and last but not least, a warm & official welcome to joan, admin & info intern, who will be handling much of the unfortunate disaster that is the current inbox and already things are falling perfectly into place and the universe is unfolding as it should . . . and now, a frothy latte in celebration of beautiful things to come . . .

{p.s.} also fun & special thanks to felicity for everything xo

. . . in all the busy-ness of the past few weeks and ever-enchanting pre-holiday excitement, had barely realized a new month had quietly arrived and if truth be told, must confess am often the tiniest bit more fond of september and october and all the blustery autumn promises they bring -- the golden morning light and magic of turning leaves, days in light trenches and evenings that still linger -- november, however, is often imagined with thoughts of overcast skies and chilly rains, and once the last of the leaves has fallen, cloudy days that end too soon . . . and yet, november has its own promises: nights wrapped in mohair and wool tartan blankets, pretty cashmere gloves with delicate crystal buttons, warm, crackling fires and the intoxicating romance of candlelight on evenings in, and most of all, the beautiful anticipation of the coming holiday season . . .

{p.s.} also new today: red wine & ripe cranberry

. . . afternoons are still wonderfully bright, but evenings are beginning to arrive earlier, and with them, a surprising briskness to unaccustomed summer skin, and already this past weekend, faux fur stoles and soft cashmere scarves and the longing for luxuriously warm textures, velvet and tweed and satin-trimmed coverlets -- and even warmer hues and tones, featherstone and champagne and deliriously lovely shades of dusky taupe . . .
