. . . one of the guestrooms in p's parents' home has the most luxuriously lovely floral bedding trimmed in yards and yards of ruffles, and always seems to be enveloped in a perfect slant of dusky sunlight; and ever since the waking up in such loveliness the very first morning, have had a new-found fondness for ruffles, whether floral, or enchantingly dreamed up in the most breathtaking lace . . .

. . . saturday afternoon was coffee & coral lipstick, shrimp dumplings & snow pea leaves, and a trip to the flower markets; sunday was a luxuriously late start, a frothy misto & a languid brunch, and, most of all, a hopelessly lovely entire day, alone together . . . and now, monday, monday and back to work with new and beautiful things to to see and plan and do, and many more moments of happy inspiration . . .

{a sunny monday & a brand new week}

. . . hello! lovely to see you again, and hope you had a warm & wonderful weekend; luxurious to spend a part of the time at home, a little shoe shopping and late-saturday brunch, but equally nice to head to the countryside on sunday, for dinner and après, a glass of wine and a crackling fire to a golden pink sunset and the languidness of nightfall . . . and now, a sunny, sunny monday of a brand new week, with so many beautiful things ahead, and it's nearly impossible not to fall in love with the spring-like sunshine . . .

. . . this week seemed to have flitted by in a flutter of eyelashes, so much so, that can hardly believe was just in paris last week; and after all the on-flight flims and overflowing travel cases, {secretly} delighted to spend a little time at home, just the two of us, before sunday's out of town dinner . . . for at this moment, it's glassware the colour of smokey quartz, belted coats and languid slants of sunlight, elegant evening bags and coffee-table picnics for two . . .

. . . not quite december yet, and already things are beginning to move along at an even more dizzying pace than usual, with upcoming soirées, dinner parties and gift exchanges, boxes tied with ribbon and a feeling of magic in the air, and in the midst of all the running around, have been practically living in luxuriously soft cashmere cardigans, belted, and perfectly paired with cozy scarves and festive gold fingernails . . .
