{home inspiration: scandinavian style}

enchanted-afternoons-hed
skona-christmas2

. . . there is so much to love about this workspace -- the modern desk juxtaposed with the grand gilt mirror, the stacks of magazines for inspiration and the candlelight, the luxurious pools of drapery, and of course and most of all, the herringbone floors . . .

{p.s.} more beautiful glimpses, including a cozy settee and crackling fire, and elegantly wrapped gifts strewn about

{two lovely things: mirror, mirror}

{two lovely things:}

one.
there is a mirrored tray on the marble vanity in the bathroom that holds favourite perfumes and an hermès box of hairpins, and every morning, adore the beautifully organized and perfectly pretty way everything looks, but had not thought to include a personal photograph -- such an inspiring idea!

two.
next to aerin lauder's glamorous white & gold office, this one has been a long-time favourite for its wonderfully elegant mirrored desk, inviting stacks of books and magazines, and always seem to work better when surrounded by shoes . . .

{colour inspiration: moody & atmospheric}

. . . have always dreamed of spring in shades of sunny whites and whispered greens, but recently the skies have been dark at turns and golden at others and during the cloudy moments, imagine spring as dusk and deep violet -- moody and atmospheric -- the colour of thundershowers . . .

{happy monday + inspiration boards}

. . . hello! a very late start this morning and after the rain and petal-laden breezes, away, away for a bit this weekend, not returning until late sunday night and now, a whirlwind all around and quite hopelessly drawn to the calm and order of these inspiration boards . . .

happy monday & hope your week is off to a wonderful start,
xo

{p.s.} aren't these lovely?

{sunny yellow + pom-poms}

Overcast skies calls for sunny yellow bedcovers, especially when arranged with a pretty scalloped-trimmed pillow and dreamy mosquito netting . . .

. . . or fun and functional light-weight curtains with a pom-pom fringe

{bright & beautiful}

. . . a stunningly bright and beautiful workspace, complete with dramatic lighting and sexy office chair, nearly the opposite of last week's workspace, and yet equally inspirational . . .

{patterns + prada}

Inspired by the wonderfully cheerful mix of colours and patterns in this workspace, especially when paired with an antique telephone, industrial desk, and {if you look closely}, a pair of Prada blossom-heeled pumps strewn beautifully and carelessly on the floor . . .

{nouveaux intérieurs parisiens}

If it were possible to live inside a book, would happily pack my things and move into New Paris Interiors . . .
