. . . friday afternoons always seem to be the time when things begin to slow down a little for the weekend, and so it follows that it is also the time for floods of inspiration and happy discoveries, such as swedish photographer per gunnarsson's beautiful portfolio, filled with light and airy scandinavian style, and an impressive client list that includes hus & hem, sköna hem, ikea, elle interiör, and livingetc . . . of course, most drawn to the slate greys and smokey violets, in glass, velvet and lucite . . .
{p.s.} also interesting to compare these to the slightly more formal rooms in photographer andy liffner's portfolio & more smokey violet rooms here

. . . have always dreamed of spring in shades of sunny whites and whispered greens, but recently the skies have been dark at turns and golden at others and during the cloudy moments, imagine spring as dusk and deep violet -- moody and atmospheric -- the colour of thundershowers . . .

. . . must confess am not much of a bicycle girl {petrified of the traffic and would most likely try to ride in heels}, but after coming across this pretty city bicycle in the most spectacular shade of smokey violet, suddenly dreaming of careening down side-streets with reckless abandon . . .
