{have an enchanting november weekend}
. . . can hardly believe it's already mid-november -- and happily -- sunny, sunny days and unseasonably warm and it's off to the countryside for a short while, eggs benedict and cozy fires, socks & heels and cashmere camel coats, vanilla scented candles and impossibly romantic long, late-night conversations . . .
wishing you a stunningly wonderful weekend & hope it's beautiful where you are, roséline xo

Perfect Pair: Blue Ikat + Gold
I'll admit it. I didn't like ikat when it first hit the design scene. Maybe it's because I'm a Utah native and haven't been able to truly appreciate anything related to South Western design (sorry if you're taste is South Western. It can be done quite well). Maybe it's because I haven't been lucky enough to travel to Indonesia where this beautiful fabric originates (though many other cultures have similar ways of weaving). But the darn pattern grew on me and now, I adore it! I like to glam it up (ok I like EVERYTHING glammed up) and pairing it with a gorgeous metallic, like gold, makes the perfect pair!

{the promise of things to come}
. . . in all the busy-ness of the past few weeks and ever-enchanting pre-holiday excitement, had barely realized a new month had quietly arrived and if truth be told, must confess am often the tiniest bit more fond of september and october and all the blustery autumn promises they bring -- the golden morning light and magic of turning leaves, days in light trenches and evenings that still linger -- november, however, is often imagined with thoughts of overcast skies and chilly rains, and once the last of the leaves has fallen, cloudy days that end too soon . . . and yet, november has its own promises: nights wrapped in mohair and wool tartan blankets, pretty cashmere gloves with delicate crystal buttons, warm, crackling fires and the intoxicating romance of candlelight on evenings in, and most of all, the beautiful anticipation of the coming holiday season . . .
{p.s.} also new today: red wine & ripe cranberry

{style inspiration: the perfect leopard print coat}
. . . and perhaps it is the elegant half-upswept hair with dipped ends or the nostalgia of old stone houses in the english countryside, but the search for the perfect leopard print coat may have just ended here . . .
{p.s.} also new today: weathering winter beautifully

Mad for Plaid
I crave plaid this time of year, especially if it's wool, beautifully draped, and in autumnal colors. What is more fitting than to wrap up in some plaid and celebrate the turn of the season? It's one of the good things in life. Enjoy!
