The First Oxygen Cover
Wow, long day but i'm home and about to go to bed which is good!
Dreamland is one of my favorite places! hah
So it's crazy, the great Refinery29 and Modelinia featured me on their sites today! Thank you to Mo and everyone for showing me that. Also thank you Refinery29 and Modelinia! :)
I'm really glad you all liked the experiment!
I actually started a new one trying the same process.... we shall see how it turns out tomorrow!
i got a few requests to add it in my Etsy store so i ended up posting it in two sizes:
13" X 19" (33cm X 48cm) & 8" X 11" (20cm X 28cm)
just click the sizes if you want to check them out.
The pick today is my first magazine cover idea for oxygen magazine,
but then we ended up going with a little brighter cover.
but i thought this was kind a trippy drawing.
i hope you like it! :)

The Girl Experiment
Well, ok so you all requested it....
this was my late night drawing experiment.
It was a super funking and weird technique to get where i got.
It would to hard to explain,
but i don't know, i think it was an interesting idea i want to explore in the near future...
It's definitely different, huh?
Well, for me, i guess.
I finished up 14.5 pages out of 26 in the kid's book, so almost there.
Leaving for Hawaii in less than a week!
Wooot, woot! i hope you're doing wonderful!
Edit:
As Requested i added this Picture to my Etsy Store

Vivienne Westwood Bikes the 'Green Carpet' - It's a Solar Powered Movie Premier --- "The Age of Stupid"
(photo via AP Photo)
Fashion Designer Vivienne Westwood arrives via bicycle and rolls down the 'green carpet' for the world premiere of "The Age of Stupid"...
This was the world's first entirely eco-friendly and first solar-powered movie premiere. "The Age of Stupid" -- this is a film about a future world devastated by climate change.
I know I will be going to see this film.
p.s. I think Vivienne looks WONDERFUL!

Before I forget....Check out the Otesha Project's Bike Tours:
"Otesha's 2009 cycling and performing tours are ready to roll! Teams of 12 to 18 motivated and energetic young people, aged 18 to 30, will set off on tours beginning this spring, summer and autumn. They will travel by bicycle throughout parts of Canada performing a play and offering workshops on sustainability and social justice issues to schools and community groups."

Inspiration - Twin Girls on Mustang Bicyles
(Photographer: Dana Claxton - Mustang Suite)
Twin girls in matching red dresses on Mustang bicycles....this is one of my all time top, and very favorite photographs, and it's by Dana Claxton. It's from her Mustang Series.
These were on Ebay a while back. I think they would make excellent panniers on bicycles.
The Girls Of the Lookbook
GOOOD MORRRnning to all!
I'm currently finishing up my second coffee this morning and excited about today!
So, first off just want to apologize for the lack of new drawings.
I've been swamped on projects trying to finish up Miss Sophie Wards and my kid's book.
Getting very excited, going to work all today on it,
but anyways, i've been feeling guilty about not posting any new drawings,
so i ended up starting a picture at 11 last night and working till 2 for you all...
but you know me, i couldn't just do a straight forward picture....
so i tried this crazy crazy experimental technique that i made up in my head a few days ago...
and well the picture turned out super crazy and weird...
I wasn't sure about posting it. haha
so i decided to post a close up of this Lookbook drawing i did for the Academy of Art for New York Fashion Week.
it's actually one of my favorites from the Lookbook,
which on a side note was like 2 years ago!
What the !? It seems like just yesterday!
Oh my, how these drawing just roll by!
Have a wonderful day! :)

{seaside sophistication}
Always loved the look of delicate capiz shells, especially when used in new ways: whether as outdoor lighting, or a pretty room divider, the pearly iridescence adds an air of seaside sophistication . . .
