Classic Calender - Go Rally..Wear Your Best Outfit & Ride

I've been looking for good Calendar.

Here is one to get started with. The focus is to encourage those interested in enjoying and reserving vintage lightweight "racing " style bicycles of the period from the early 20th century until 1983.

I'm not much of a racer though..I'm definitely a part of the SLOW MOVEMENT lifestyle..I live in 'gourmet ghetto' world of Berkeley. I still love the idea of any excuse to get on my bicycle and dress up.

How not to show your undies when you wear your skirt on a bike!

Lisa Foster ........offers the BEST idea yet!

‘Here is my solution to skirts that flip up: find an elastic band that fits around your thigh (I use a headband, but you could use a garter if you’re feeling VERY diva), then attach a safety pin to it, and slip it on 6 inches or so above your knee. When you get on your bike, fasten that safety pin to the inside of your skirt. The skirt stays down! If you’re feeling very demure, you could do this on both legs, but one usually does the trick.’

{happy weekend + lovely letters}

{beautiful sample of Karl Lagerfeld's photographic work for Chanel}

Late Thursday morning, I received a perfectly delightful e-mail from Glamorous reader Joy, who was fortunate enough to happen upon a Karl Lagerfeld photoshoot while out enjoying the Spring sunshine the previous day:

"This is glamorous! Love, love, love your blog and read it daily!

While running around town yesterday, I stumbled upon a Karl Lagerfeld shoot for Fendi. Karl himself was taking many of the photos. It was a perfect 60 degrees and all the onlookers sat quietly taking the experience in. Surely, it was a nice way to kill an hour. It's amazing what you see day to day on the streets of New York.

Thought you would enjoy these photos!"

You may or may not know that the world-famous couturier, {currently for Fendi, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld}, is also famous for his photography as well as his designs and has published more than 20 books of photography. Joy managed to snap some wonderful candid shots of the designer {including behind the lens!}, and so thoughtfully sent them along . . .

video 'how to wear it'

{calm & cheerful}

Completely intrigued by the combination of yellow & gray. Part calming and part energetic, it's always sophisticated with a certain elegance.

{jan de vliegher - paintings}

{schonbrunn.2007.oil on canvas.80x120cm}

Came across
Jan De Vliegher's incredibly beautiful paintings while browsing the ever-inspiring Dear Ada.

The wonderfully talented and prolific De Vliegher paints an array of subjects and topics, including statues, landscape, the sea, still life, and even glass, but it's his breathtaking renderings of luxurious interiors that are most captivating . . .
