In Istanbul we have sympathy

I am waiting for very next week cause I'm going to be on Efes Pilsen One Love Festival happening at my school's campus: santralistanbul.I went to courses day and night there since 2007 and after courses are over one love festival happens there since last year.The good thing is that this year I'm going to listen Portecho live.I love their music for a long time and the fact I missed Freshtival(the new festival in Istanbul that I couldn't make it there due to visiting my colourist day...I know!!!).I'm now wondering about festival style.Are you curious about what I'm going to wear to festival for 2 individual days?LOL.I'll wear something festival spirit ok? I hope Portecho would perform Sympathy on sunday.I'm looking forward to it.I'll be shooting stars...at my campus...

Perfume bottles, shimmery powders, necklaces, silk throw cushions and shoes are overtaking the place, resulting in thoughts of Spring cleaning, and since my favourite tailored linen pants have disappeared, it may be time to explore the fashion abyss in the farthest corners of the closet . . .



. . . although am rather inspired {and a little tempted} to hide everything behind yards and yards of soft and beautifully patterned curtains . . .

The Guest Writer Part 2

Dearest fans, watchers, readers, lovers, writers, painters and animal
friends,

Danny and I are back in collaboration and having a marvelous time in
his studio once again. We have rummaged through cupboards to find
Italian cafetiers to make extra strong coffee, of which one sip is
enough to send the synapses skyrocketing. We have made breakfasts,
second breakfasts and brunches. We have played hide & go seek with my
painting and checked on a hummingbird's nest – all the while listening
to the background of birds chirping in the lawnmower filled air of a
sunny Californian June.

Meanwhile, I am on Twitter thanks to Danny; I am obsessed with Dorothy
Parker thanks to a second hand bookstore in Sydney; and I have
excruciatingly demented jetlag thanks to long air journeys and the
aforementioned strong coffee. My boyfriend Jon has printed out the
directions to get to Texas, we're all drinking lots of water and
debating whether peanut butter, lentil hummus and salsa is really a
good combination (hey, it's nice, okay!)

Here's to the Roberts family, who have welcomed me once again with the
most unforgivingly open, generous and unfalteringly warm arms, that I
am once again indebted to their hospitality. They are for certain a
blessing, an "American Family" who thrill to the sight of me cooking
asparagus, making crackers, and expounding the benefits of going
gluten-free. I just love being here, the perfection is almost too good
to be true, and I always miss them as soon as I'm gone.

Farewell! By the time you read this I will probably have dust in my
hair and the sun in my eyes..... Road map fluttering in the heat of
the open window. I'll be thinking of you all.

Safe journeys to everyone! I must go pack! White Rabbits are calling
me to New York!!

Isabeli Fontana, SuperModel!!...What I particularly love in this photo is all the elaborate cut out work of her jacket, then the same intricate cut out detail is replicated in the wrot iron. It also reminds of this amazing bicycle I've seen and photographed here in the streets of Santa Cruz.

Last year, this year,time is whatever

That maybe its not good to be a part of something.That maybe I better frequent the places that I never frequent.And that I realize I don't like starbucks frappuccino anymore...And that I look at views,landscapes and sometimes there's nothing on my mind or sometimes my mind is full loaded with many unimportant things...And I look at shapes...People frequent gym like me...Do I like gym?I do it for health...I feel stronger since 3-4 months that I started to pilates.I have a better shape...not weak.not fat.not ironic.just stronger.I look at an old picture of me last year and I say my arms were so weak.I work out.Now that I can kick ya!LOL I'm not a superhero-yet...but I'm the upcoming someONE :) so beware.. beware!!!...watch out!!watch out!!!

Istanbul and the fashion spot membership

I was trying to be a member of the fashion spot 2 years ago that its invitation only membership and you have to be in the fashion industry as a member.I searched for members to send me an invitation to become a member but I couldn't find anyone to send me an invitation.I remember I paged to fashion spot and told them that I'm passionate about fashion and I'm a fashion blogger.They told me they'll consider and then 2 years ago they've send me an invitation.I've become a member that made me so happy.I was starting to Bilgi University finance master of science and had no time for anyhing during 2 years.(but I was frequenting book stores to buy cds,the economist and harpers bazaar or vogue).I couldn't be an active tfs member.That I am graduating in june I feel relished...and happy...and nothing.But I'm back to breathing and living I like to frequent the fashion spot.There's an istanbul threat there for street style of global cities and I remember last week I saw someone was asking if wearing shorts is dangerous in the city...I was like wtf? but I didn't really write anything.Truth is its up to you.I wear skirts and shorts and people wear shorts around the city in Istanbul.Anywayz...I had a long day.I'm d@mn tired.Green cat in the old unicef postcard is looking at me and I look back.Its on my desk forever...near my books and mags...

Well, it's lovely just sitting with friends right now listening to a Fred Astaire album,
and everyone is quietly working and enjoying each other's company.
The Character Sketchbook drawing today is of Sophie.
i thought is only fitting with her being here and all.
i looked through her modeling portfolio tonight for the first time.
i was completely blown away!
All the shots were incredible!
It was really fun to see.

Early in the morning walking down to work and Placebo concert in Istanbul

I'm having bizarre moments lately.I walk down the streets(alone) and feeling like I have an object lens looking at people staring at objects and views.Do I feel like a camera?Hell no!:D lol.I'm just observing.I'm the observer of streets.Lately people from all around the world especially tourists ask me about Istanbul.It makes me happy cause I want to help.And I want to present Istanbul.I can introduce my city with beautiful parts and what should be seen.And fashion blogging is fun.I feel more humanitarian when I write.I love observing and writing.That's what I do to go on.I feel that I'm enhancing day by day.And lately I know Placebo is visiting Istanbul for a concert.I guess they are on a world tour something.But I maybe can't make it to the concert cause its not weekend(unfortunately its on tuesday something!).I listen to Placebo when I'm walking alone.Or at shuttle...or sleeping on the way they are on my ears singing

I walk down Taksim early in the morning through my work a few hours after night clubbers went to bed and the toast and sandwich maker restaurants that served hamburgers to clubbers till dawn, have started to serve toasts and tea as breakfast to people going to work whom drop by,early in the morning,...,in my head just lyrics of placebo walking through where I work ,me,buying toast and drinking tea before I go to work every morning,every you,every me...

In My Dreams

Hello friends!
Well, i drew you all this picture tonight!
i hope you like it.
The clothes are a little something i designed.
i'm hoping to make a few one-off collection with my friend Alice.
The girl in the picture doesn't have a name,
she just shows up in my dreams every few years, just for a few dreams, and disappears.
I really like how the drawing turned out...
I'm hoping she surfaces in tonight's dream.
i will let you know if it happens!
