{home inspiration: turebyholm castle, denmark}

castle7

. . . today, it's whisked away by the grandeur and light of this stunning rococo castle in the sprawling danish countryside -- built in 1754, it is utterly filled with a perfect mix of art deco and modern italian furniture designs, exquisite antiques and hand printed silk wallpaper, gilt wood wall panels and gold-rimmed china, intermingling beautifully with spectacularly ornate mirrors and glittering chandeliers . . .

{home inspiration: scandinavian style}

. . . there is so much to love about this workspace -- the modern desk juxtaposed with the grand gilt mirror, the stacks of magazines for inspiration and the candlelight, the luxurious pools of drapery, and of course and most of all, the herringbone floors . . .

{p.s.} more beautiful glimpses, including a cozy settee and crackling fire, and elegantly wrapped gifts strewn about

{at home with: freunde von freunden}

{home of kirsten hermann, stylist & gallerist}

. . . my wonderful friend felicity always sends along the most amazing things, and freunde von freunden is one of them: a berlin-based selby-esque {perhaps a little more gritty & artsy} project by german design agency no more sleep, that documents the agency's friends, partners and creative people around berlin in their living or workspace; overflowing with visual details, the shots are glimpses that feel like an exclusive look behind the scenes . . .

{at home with: mc&co, brooklyn}

. . . sun-drenched in skylights and glossy floorboards, blossoming branches and antique linen-covered cushions: a glimpse into a bright and wonderfully creative live-work space of corinne gilbert and dan mccarthy of mc&co, a shop in williamsburg, brooklyn, new york, that specializes in the work of local artisans and craftspeople . . .

***

. . . a few favourites from the shop, which is filled with lovely things that are all handmade in brooklyn:

{at home with loulou de la falaise}

Jewellery designer Loulou de la Falaise's paris home began, 30 years ago, as an empty white space. Today, it's, in her own words, "like a gypsy as it has a lot of colour and generosity. I want it to make people feel happy and surprised but at the same time it needs to be beautiful."

And it is.
