{décor inspiration: a kiss of colour}

. . . monday, monday, and utterly inspired by this beautiful entryway -- the enchanting framed wallpaper fragment and antique french chest, the warm wood panelled walls and rich chevron floors . . . and not certain if it is because it is february or the approach of valentine's day, but lately, have been dreaming of painting the walls the palest shade of pink . . .





. . . of course, the next best thing would be glimpses of colour set against pale and perfectly pretty neutrals . . .

. . . always thought to prefer well-decorated fireplaces -- collections of art and photographs and memories, candles in the winter and gilded mirrors in the summer -- that is, until this perfectly simple and simply perfect one with inset mantel and elegantly pale pink hydrangeas . . .
