The Incredible Shoes of Chris Benz

Morning!
Well, it is T-minus 5 days till David and I leave for New York for Fashion Week,
and we still have a lot to do before then.
Oh well, i guess that is the way it always is.
It really doesn't even start to sink in that we are leaving till the last few days at home.
I have to say, I'm starting to get quite excited for the trip.
Just thinking about the prospects of seeing my New York friends, and also my friends from all the world in snow city scape brings a smile to my face.

The Pictures today are from the all amazing Chris Benz Spring 2011 Collection.
He always out does himself, and this season was no exception.
I think the biggest surprise for me was the incredible shoes he designed.
They complemented the garments perfectly and some of the shoes even matched the garments. (See blue shoes above)
I thought it only right if the shoes got a post all unto themselves.

Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 Collection

Hey Hey Hey!
How was your day?
Today's Full Frontal Fashion Painting is of Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 Collection.
I have to say, the hats from this collection were really fun to paint.
I really like how this painting turned out cause it feels very Spring to me.
:)

Oh also i've been working at night writing my first storybook & my first music album....
I can't wait for yawl to read and hear it! :)

Andy + Debb Spring 2011

Good Morning!
Well my painting today is the second one i did for Sundance Channel's Full frontal Fashion,
and it's from Andy & Debb Spring 2011 from NYFW.
This was a Show I was Fortunate enough to get to take pictures back stage and during the show (which i will post soon i promise :)
And the Lovely Girl wearing the dress is a girl named Rashelle Osbourne of Trump Models.
She really stood out to me at the show,
and seemed really nice and had a great smile.
All and all i really loved the collection the cuts were great and the color pallet of the show was perfect.
It was up there as one of the best shows I attended this last Fashion Week.
Welp, off to paint some more!

The Painting is from a picture i took at the Siki Im Fall 2010 Collection last NYFW.
i love the paper hats, so so so amazing :)

My college roommate got married, and it was an amazing wedding.
Well, I know I was a little patchy on the posting last week,

I've been painting 24/7.

Well.

Shit has hit the fan. 

Today is the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. 

Forget Bryant Park. Think "LINCOLN CENTER" aka PPPZ aka pennypoppinpartyzone.

'Cause that is the NYFW HQ for this season.

Fashion Week madness already stepped in last week as I just finished writing a fall trend report for the Ladies Lotto blog (http://ladieslotto.blogspot.com). Last minute invites to parties and shows are still coming [Oh, HELLO RICHIE RICH + Anna Sui - STILL WAITING FOR MY CONFIRMATION!!?!]. Myself and the rest of a motley crew of fashion misfits known as "THE WOLFPACK" [me aptly being named "JewWolf"] are all cc'd on a massive e-mail chain-link with the latest up-and-up of all things and events that are NYFW + FNO [Fashion's Night Out NYC - Friday, September 10, 2010] related. 

Oh, and did I mention I started a new (paid) internship at a really cool advertising and branding agency? Yup. On Tuesday. 

Talk about it. 

I dare ya.

So, I have already been taking photos yesterday on the street in Soho + at the BB Dakota party last night at Chloe. Last night was also the StyleLikeU party at BlindBarber where I got to enjoy a delish Gin + Tonic thanks to one of the cute bartenders there and good ol' Hendrick's Gin.

Unfortunately, I will have very remote access to a computer the next few days so bare with me!

Grunge. Flannel. Combat Boots. Doc Martens [would only live in Doc Martens if I had the money to afford them - I can't even buy one pair 'cause imma broke!] Palladiums are also garnering some of my interest too.

Bike shorts. Red socks. Bar/Bat Mitzvah party accessories from the 90s/early 00s.

So, I've been at NYFW since Thursday. Still here. Barely.

Didn't bring my laptop which I now regret, but honestly I wanted to take a break from the machine.

Thought my camera was broken too, but my good friend Chris fixed it. w 0 0 +.
