These necklaces are custom made and feature someone NEAR AND DEAR to you...a child, a parent, a spouse, a friend, a pet on one side. Several art selections of your choice are available on the other. They are $25.00 and $5.00 goes to a charity that is Near and Dear to us, The American Heart Association.
Too many members of my family have been touched with heart disease. My daughter became inspired to create these necklaces when she lost both of her grandfathers to the disease and was moved to help make a difference. Her first grandfather was here one day and gone the next when a massive heart attack took him away from her. What really affected her was watching the ugly side of heart disease slowly rob my father of his quality of life for nearly 10 years, whittling away at him slowly but surely, stroke after stroke and heart attack and failure. The man she knew started to drift away and all memories they created were erased. Wearing one of the necklaces is a great way to remember someone you lost.

These necklaces aren't just for someone you lost, though. My niece just had the cutest little boy ever. Well, I certainly think so. Anyway, she and her mom (proud new grandmom) have the necklaces. They wear them proudly and show off the new little addition to the family.
