PICTURE THIS

I don't know about you, but I'm a sentimentalist. I just love old photographs from the past,
especially ones of family members.
Like they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. Just one photo in your collection can tell you so much about a relative you never really knew or didn't know in the time frame when the photo was taken. We can learn so much about our ancestors and our lineage from just one small sepia vintage photo. I have gone hunting in boxes in the attic to learn a little bit more about who I am and where I came from. I just cherish these photos and have been busy finding the perfect frames and places to display relatives from my past. But as you can see, putting them in a frame isn't they only way to appreciate these old photos
Stringing these photos together as a grouping
or displaying with other vintage documents
or fanned out in a Rolodex fashion
can be so interesting
Who says you need to use frames to display these photos????
Propping them up in a vintage frog

or looking at them through a magnifying glass

or scattered with old bingo cards and other ephemera does the trick
Isn't this a great idea?
Who knew an old drawer pull, some upholstery strapping and an old piece of lumber could look this good???
I am loving this unusual wire display
and mixing this pretty vintage lace in as a vignette
on a silver tray with some pretty old buttons
for such an interesting look

The woman in the center of this photo is my grandmother with her sisters. The saying on this sachet about sisters is the perfect way
to tell
your sister how much you cherish her
What a great gift for mother's day!!
Here's my grandmother again,
looking CLASSY AND FABULOUS

...and my Aunt dancing her heart out in 1930
I just love finding unique ways to make my memories last.
Do you enjoy reminiscing over your old photographs? Maybe someone from your past was classy and fabulous too... why not find a classy and fabulous way to to show them off!!

EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSES

Roses are such beautiful and romantic flowers.
They come in such a variety of sizes, shapes and colors.
Not only are they gorgeous to look at,
they are so fragrant and delicate.
I just LOVE any variety or color that comes my way.
I have a slight obsession with them and
every chance I get, I'm trying to cluster them
in pretty vases around the house.
Pink of course is a favorite, but the feminine,
soft, blush colored rose tea rose really is at
the top of the list for me.

Rachel Ashwell and her Shabby cabbage roses
also rank up at the top as some of my favorites too!

Aren' t these the kind of soaps you'd love in your bathroom?
