You Got to Love Charlotte Free

Morning!
Well, spent all yesterday painting and sketching up a storm,
and needless to say my studio is so so so so so messy,
so some cleaning is in order today. ;)
Also I'm happy to say, i started up working on my Character Sketch Book again!
It is like an old friend i've missed a lot.
That book/series is definitely my favorite and most personal series,
so I'm glad to get back working on finishing Volume 3! (though I'm still at the start)
The Drawing today is Character Sketchbook drawing 205,
And it's of IMG Models Pink Haired Girl Charlotte Free.
I took this picture backstage at Charlotte Ronson Fall 2011 Show and knew it would make for a great drawing.
I really like how it turned out. I love her expression in the drawing.
Makes you kind of wonder what she is thinking about, don't you think?

First of the 3rd Volume: Character Sketchbook 201

Good Afternoon!
Shoot, i think all the late nights caught up to me today!
Ended up over-sleeping by a few hours today,
so i'm playing catch up right now so i have to make it short,
because i'm trying to finish up a painting for you all...
Hopefully, have it up tonight! :)
Today's post is the first mixed media drawing out of Volume 3 of my Character Sketchbook.
I really like how volume 3 was turning out... i need to start back working on it again.
The photo was from one of my all time favorite fashion photographers, Steven Meisel,
and it was from his "Amish" editorial for Italian Vogue which is one of my favorite photoshoots.

Frida Gustavsson Plane Sketch Part 2

Well, hello my friends, how was your weekend?
Mine was so nice!
Just finished watching "It's a Wonderful Life"....
Oh, my, that movie is so good!
I have to say Frank Capra is my All Time Favorite Movie Director.
Such incredible stories and story telling.

So the Image today is Plane Drawing #2 from My Flight to New York last week.
It was my first day drawing model Frida Gustavsson.
It was the day I fell in love with drawing her too! :)
She is adorable :)
I can't wait to do a more polished Painting of her.
I hope you like this sketch.

Also I spent this weekend helping my friend Alice, revamp her site.
Alice is the one who is helping me design a little clothing collection...
She has a wonderful blog (which I've posted some images from for inspiration friday)
but we revamped the site and her blog really didn't have a name,
so we came up with the name for it "Clouds & Candy".
Cause if you look through her site, it will remind you of Clouds & Candy. Haha

Frida Gustavsson Makes Flights More Enjoyable

Well Hello Friends!
I'm back from my 18 hours in NY!
Prom was amazing!
Thank you Sophie for going with me,
and thank you Claudine for having me come out to it!
It was a blast! :)

Well, on the flight i drew for the first time a model that my friend Alice showed me.
Her name is Frida Gustavsson!
I have to say, she is currently my Biggest Model infatuation right now!
I love Drawing her, she is amazing.
So elegant & sweet.
I ended drawing like 6 or 7 pictures of her on the flight. This is one of pictures i did.
i was on a roll. hahaha
Well, i hope you're all doing amazing. :)

The Cast of Volume 3

Well my friends,
I've finally started to figure who will be the main girls of Volume 3 The Character Sketchbook.
I can tell you that Tanya Dziahileva & Ali Michael
are going to be two of the main girls of the book. :)
I'm really excited cause i need to get back to the basics,
and start practicing more and start improving more.
I actually need to work on live drawing,
but no models live near me, to come sit for drawings, C'est la vie ;(
So i guess i'm back to working in the Character Sketchbook.
But I really hope you like the sketch today!

Tanya Dziahileva - Character Sketchbook v.3

Hey there my friends,
How did the weekend go for you???
Mine was pretty good,
Though i'm extremly tired today.
I guess i got a case of the "Mondays".
But anyways, I finally picked up drawing in my Character Sketchbook.
This is my first painting in it in a while.
The Painting is of the lovely Tanya Dziahileva.

Pretty Please

Hello, hello Friends,
How's the first day of December going for you?
Anything interesting going on >>>?
Anyone see New Moon?
I've never seen it, but it's kinda funny hearing everyone's take on it.
It seems like everyone is saying, "I loved it, but the acting is terrible."
hahaha Is that how it is?
Well, i have a meeting tomorrow with a company my friend Jason Jones (who is an amazing artist; check him out here) works for.
I'm meeting with the company he works for to discuss a project i'm pretty excited about...
can't give away too much yet... but all i can say is, i'm pretty excited!

The painting today is 215 out of Volume 3 of my Character Sketchbook.
It's going to be so fun to publish this book some day...
I'm also having fun drawing Tanya Dziahileva,
she has such fun features.

I've been packing & shipping prints all day.
How was your weekend?
Mine was great.
I started drawing in Volume 3 of the Character Sketchbook.
It was really fun, cause i kinda got new direction for volume 3.
I want to improve at speed drawing,
so i started doing some 10 minute drawings.
and i added Tanya Dziahileva into Volume 3.
I'm having way too much fun drawing her.
So i hope you like this 10 minute sketch. :)

Wow, it seems like today disappeared in a second!
I've been painting all day on a picture for my friend Miss Julia Frakes of Bunny Bisous!
Just finished it up! and there is a surprise that comes along with it. ;)

OK, is it just me or do you want a coat that has sweet ears like this one!
Shoot! When i saw this editorial, i couldn't stop thinking how amazing that coat was.
Well, my friends, we are almost done with the week.

Mine has been a long one.
Been swimming alot more than i usually do; it's been quite nice.

The Rat Race

Well, it Monday, Monday, Monday!
How was your weekend?
Like i said in the last post, i started a Twitter account.
Still not sure how it works and all...
so i just keep posting a blow by blow of my day... haha

i wanted to post the third drawing i did a few days ago from my Character Sketchbook.
It's weird to think i'm in the two hundreds already in the book. Kinda fun.
i think it will be a fun book to publish in the near future to show my drawing evolution. :)

Volume 3 ? ? ?

Well, yesterday my cousin was hanging out in my studio working on a self-portrait for her art class.
i was just sitting there going over my projects and i made a big decision...
and my friends, I'm happy to say i have started on VOLUME 3!! of the character sketchbook.
i wasn't sure if i was going to do another volume, but i started it and it just started flowing again!
i'm excited. i hope you like it!
