{two lovely things:} a beautiful arrangement of industrial steel, gleaming silver and delicate glass . . . and luxurious floor to ceiling carrera, combined with umembellished mirrors and brushed steel -- both in a perfect mix of white and grey and sunny bouquets . . .

. . . would think a better place to work would be a clear and tidy desk, but maximalist tendencies are hopelessly drawn to the gilt and wonderfully ornate mirror and glamorous chandelier, cut crystal candy dishes and stacks upon stacks of favourite books and imagine this to be the most perfect place for inspiration, a little work, and most certainly, whiling away an early spring evening . . .

. . . grand fireplaces and coffered ceilings, warm white walls and washed floorboards, sheer linens and french doors make for perfect afternoons spent in thoughts and plans and dreams . . .

. . . had all but abandoned black {in the home, but not the closet} long ago, believing it to be a little overwhelming and sombre for bright and sunny rooms -- and yet -- have recently become enchanted by its bold elegance and dramatic charm . . .
